This just in, there are roughly only 60 buttons left for sale at the chamber. Get yours now before we sell out.

Early sell out?

This just in, survey cards to be used the night of the event will be finished by this weekend. The committee has expanded the "rating" part of the card with more categories and numbering system. Patrons will still have to go to 7 of the 8 eateries to eligible for the basket drawings.

As of yesterday, the Chamber informed us that 30% of the buttons have already been sold! Our committees next meeting will include the volunteers working at each establishment to give them a run down of what is expected. Those Ambassadors will then be personally introduced to their contacts at the restaurants. Stay tuned, things are happening fast! More later.

Today's meeting

Well we're entering the weekend of the Blues, Jazz & BBQ here in Brighton. Flyers for the Octoberfeast, as well as buttons will be available this weekend at the Chamber tent. Come out and enjoy some great music, great food and the great downtown of Brighton, Michigan.

You may reserve your buttons for the Octoberfeast by calling the Chamber, but I'd recommend calling on Monday the 12th :) Hope to see you all this weekend downtown.

Marketeer ad

Stopped by all the participants of the Octoberfeast today and gave them a copy of the full page ad we have running in the Marketeer. They were pleased. The excitement is beginning to grow. Next week things should get into full swing after our committee meets with our fellow Ambassadors.

The Meeting of Minds

Today at 1:30 pm at the Brighton Bar & Grill will be the first assembly of Oktoberfeast participants. Once introductions and event overview are completed the purpose of the meeting will be to begin lining up that evening's menu.

Buttons, though some may need new stickers, are available and ready for sale Now! Let's make this the best event ever---more after today's meeting.

Meeting this Monday

Next Monday, the 28th, there will be a meeting of all the participants in this year's Octoberfeast @ 1:30 at the Brighton Bar & Grill. There are some new participants this year so we want to go over what they can expect from the program & what they can expect from us the Ambassadors. This will also be the first time we have the opportunity to discuss the menu for Octoberfeast. As we finalize that we will update you.

There will be a new logo this year, but that won't be the only new wrinkle we have to unveil. Oh My Lolli will be a participant this year and in addition to the "taste" of their product, they will be giving out a commemorative gift to each patron that comes by. Though it is still in the works, the item will be some candy packaged with the Octoberfeast 2011 logo on it. Pretty neat, and we're all pretty excited about this addition to our program.

We have enough buttons thanks to last year's committee so we anticipate the ability to start selling buttons as early as next week. Ambassadors just make sure there are new stickers on the buttons when you go to pick them up. We're ahead of schedule---let's stay that way if possible :)

We will be in the September issue of the Marketeer, possibly the October issue as well, but definitely the September one. Due to previous experiences, we will not be doing any radio ads and possibly not any newspaper as well. Between our enthusiastic Ambassadors and the track record this event has had, the extra expenses just don't seem necessary.

Octoberfeast is coming!

The Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce is presenting Octoberfeast this year on Tuesday, October 18th from 5-9pm. Area restaurants participating this year are as follows:
